We are looking for dynamic and highly motivated individuals who can demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, provide support and education for junior staff and are passionate about improving patient safety and the patient experience. You will work cross city providing leadership and management of the teams on a shift and work closely with the Senior Sisters, Lead Nurses and Matron in developing the service and enhancing the quality of care delivery. If you hold a Specialist Neonatal Qualification and you are ready for the challenge then we look forward to hearing from you. Why you should join our Team The Leeds Neonatal Service delivers care to over 1400 babies per year. We have a Neonatal Unit at LGI and SJUH and together can care for 48 patient’s cross city. These cots are a mixture of Intensive Care, High Dependency, Special Care and Surgical care. We also have a well-established Transitional Care and Outreach service. What you will bring to the role The jobholder will play an essential role assisting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse with the 24-hour continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the ward / department. They will contribute to the provision of professional, clinical, managerial leadership and supervision for the nursing team. The jobholder is responsible for helping to develop and maintain a ward or department’s philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionate safe and quality care delivery.
