Summary

Key Responsibilities Conduct patient health checks, including basic observations and monitoring of vital signs Perform phlebotomy procedures efficiently and in line with clinical guidelines Act as a chaperone during patient examinations to ensure comfort, dignity, and safety Support gynaecology clinics and assisted GPs during a range of procedures Process and managed laboratory samples, ensuring accurate handling and documentation Maintain surgical equipment and medications, including regular stock rotation and replenishment Oversee consulting rooms by clearing, cleaning, and restocking to maintain clinical readiness Prepare and maintain clinical environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions Assist GPwSI General Practitioners with Special Interest and Consultants during clinics and procedures Contribute to the assessment and ongoing monitoring of patients health and wellbeing Promote health awareness and encouraged positive health and lifestyle choices among patients Support the collection and collation of patient data related to health and wellbeing needs Contact patients to arrange and coordinate appointments in a professional and timely manner Carry out general administrative duties as required to support clinical operations Undertake additional reasonable duties as requested by management Essential Requirements Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a healthcare setting. HCA 15 Competencies Competency in phlebotomy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle. Willingness to travel between NHS sites across Buckinghamshire. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience supporting women's health or gynaecology services. Previous experience acting as a clinical chaperone. Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures. Experience using NHS clinical systems and electronic patient records.
