Summary
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive range of nursing services to our patient population and play a key role in the ongoing delivery of chronic disease management and preventative healthcare. The role will include, but is not limited to: Chronic disease management, including respiratory conditions (asthma and COPD), diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. Respiratory reviews, inhaler technique assessments and patient education. Cervical cytology (desirable). Contraception/HRT reviews. Immunisations and vaccinations. Wound care and dressings. General Practice Nurse treatment room duties. Ear irrigation (where trained). Venepuncture and ECGs. Spirometry (If trained) Lifestyle advice and health promotion. Infection prevention and control responsibilities. Participation in quality improvement initiatives and QOF achievement.
