Location: Essex Region – Based at Hylands Regional Office (Chelmsford) when required, with hybrid elements (dependent on business

requirements)

Work Basis: Full-time / Flexible / Hybrid

Reporting To: Regional Primary Business Manager

Salary: Spot point £31,537

Role: 37Hr/Wk, 52 Wk/Yr. Monday to Thursday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, & Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Regional Administrator to join our Essex Regional Team.  This is a fantastic chance to

The Regional Administrator is responsible for overseeing all administrative and organisational processes within the region while

maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Serving as a crucial link between central teams and individual academies, this

role ensures efficient operational workflow and compliance with Trust policies and statutory requirements. Forming part of a

shared-service model supporting a number of academies, you will act as a key point of contact for schools and stakeholders,

embodying the Trust’s values, vision, and ethos.

Your key areas of focus will include:

* HR, Recruitment & Payroll Support: Facilitate new starter recruitment documentation, manage inductions, oversee leaver processes

with the People Hub, maintain staff records in MIS and HR systems, and assist with payroll queries, expenses and returns to work.

* Compliance & Statutory Governance: Oversee and maintain the Single Central Record (SCR), conduct termly SRC audits, support the

School Workforce Census, and manage secure record archiving in compliance with statutory retention.

* Local Financial Operations: Raise purchase orders, assist with local purchasing, monitor deliveries, returns, and lettings.

* Training & General Administration: Oversee staff training allocation, manage the regional team inbox, support school Office

Managers. 

We are looking for someone who has:

* Organisational and Prioritisation Skills: You must be able to plan and organise tasks effectively under pressure and manage a

diverse portfolio of responsibilities.

* A flexible approach to working. Worked in an office and/or hybrid environment

* Initiative and Self-Motivation: You need the ability to work independently, use your own initiative, and take appropriate action

without needing constant supervision.

* Confidentiality and GDPR Knowledge: You must maintain confidentiality at all times and possess a strong working knowledge of

GDPR to handle sensitive staff and school data securely.

* Excellent communication skills: The role requires excellent listening skills alongside effective written and verbal

communication, as you will serve as a key point of contact for schools, staff, and external stakeholders.

* IT Proficiency: You are expected to be experienced with ICT systems, specifically Google Suite or MS Office, and ideally

familiar with school management information systems (MIS) and accounting software.
