We are excited to recruit compassionate, reliable and person-centred Support Workers to join our team as a Bank support worker.

About the Service

You'll be supporting two ladies in a small, person-centred service. One individual is a wheelchair user, and both require support tailored to their individual needs.

This role is best suited to someone who is resilient, compassionate, and confident working independently.

A FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS BANK SUPPORT WORKER ROLE.

The individual's within the service can present behaviours of concern, including challenging behaviour and racially abusive language, so you'll need to remain calm, professional, and focused on providing high-quality, person-centred support.

Experience with stoma care is beneficial, although full training will be provided.

There is a element of lone working, particularly at weekends, so you'll need to be confident making decisions and working independently while knowing support is available when needed.

SHIFT PATTERNS

Shift patterns include a mixture of:

Long days: 8:00am 9:00pm

Short days: 9:30am 2:30pm

Weekend lone working (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): 8:00am 9:00pm

Sleep-in shifts: 9:00pm 7:00am, followed by a handover from 7:00am 8:00am

Please note that shift patterns may vary from week to week to meet the needs of the service, including covering annual leave, sickness, and short-notice absences.

What We're Looking For

Female support worker

A calm, patient and reliable approach.

An understanding of the importance of routines and consistency.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to work independently and confidently during lone-working shifts.

A professional approach when working alongside involved family members.

Experience supporting people with autism is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

A Full UK Driving licence is essential for this support worker role.
