Summary
The North Central and East London Collaborative (NCEL PC) is formed of four mental health Trusts; East London Foundation Trust (lead provider), North London NHS Foundation Trust, Whittington Health NHS Trust and North East London Foundation Trust.
NCEL has a delegated budget from NHSE through which it funds all CAMHS inpatient and alternative to admission provisions for the population of North Central and East London.
The post holder will be theNCEL Clinical Bed Manager for the Single Point of Access (SPoA) servicewhich is responsible for processing CAMHS inpatient/alternative to admission requests overseeing the clinical quality and clinical performance of all NCEL providers and for all patients who originate from North Central East London regardless of which provider the placement is with.
The post holder will be responsible for the reviewing and processing of day to day co-ordination of requests for CAMHS inpatient and alternative to admission requests.
Provide clinical advice to all referrers from across the NCEL collaborative regarding appropriate clinical pathway for inpatient/alternative to admission requests.
To receive referrals from clinicians requesting inpatient/alternative to admission interventions, to negotiate appropriate placement taking into account service user presentation, organisational policy and organisation resources.
To liaise with services across the collaborative to facilitate organisation of NCEL resources to ensure the availability of beds for admissions. This will include supporting discussions and decisions regarding transfers between wards and to community services to facilitate new admissions as required.
To work proactively with NCEL services, social care services and other providers tosupport discharge, transition and contingency plans to ensure capacity across services in scope.
