Cemetery Operative needed in Sutton Coldfield Paying £13.45per hr ref 476963

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Prepare graves for burials, including excavation and backfilling where required.
Assist during burial services, ensuring dignified and professional conduct at all times.
Carry out general grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, weeding, and litter picking.
Maintain cemetery paths, roads, fences, gates, and surrounding areas.
Install and remove temporary grave markers and assist with memorial inspections.
Operate and maintain machinery and equipment such as mowers, strimmers, excavators, and tractors.
Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with health and safety procedures.
Respond courteously and sensitively to enquiries from members of the public.
Assist with winter maintenance activities, including gritting and snow clearance.
Complete records and documentation as required.
Report defects, vandalism, safety hazards, and maintenance issues promptly.
