Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse / FLT Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves managing stock, operating forklifts, and ensuring the smooth handling of materials within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes, supporting the overall supply chain operations. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude are advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants. Duties

Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods across the warehouse.

Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate recording of inventory movements.

Assist with materials handling, including lifting and moving heavy items safely and correctly.

Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch and receiving incoming deliveries.

Conduct basic equipment repairs or report faults to maintenance teams to minimise downtime.

Perform routine checks on warehouse equipment to ensure safety standards are maintained.

Organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation and facilitate easy access to stock.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in a warehouse environment, including knowledge of warehouse management systems.

Valid forklift licence within the past three years

Mechanical knowledge or basic equipment repair skills are desirable.

Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting of up to 25kg or more.

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock management.

Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and recording data accurately.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work various shifts as required; previous experience with shipping & receiving processes is advantageous.
