Senex Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a specialist high-technology manufacturer in the search for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their growing production team in East Sussex.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on assembly professional with experience in electronics, instrumentation, scientific equipment, imaging systems, cameras, sensors, precision manufacturing, medical devices, aerospace products or other high-value electronic equipment.

Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will assemble advanced imaging and detection systems from individual mechanical and electronic components. The products are used in demanding scientific, industrial and research applications where quality, precision and attention to detail are essential.

Whether your background is in equipment assembly, scientific instrumentation, precision electronics, electro-mechanical manufacturing, optical equipment, test equipment, specialist electronic products or similar, this role offers the opportunity to work on highly sophisticated technology in a supportive and technically focused team.

The Role

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly of specialist products, ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability and workmanship.

You will work from engineering drawings, assembly documentation and bills of materials to complete precision builds involving mechanical assemblies, PCBs, sensors, wiring and electronic components.

This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys detailed hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble specialist electronic and electro-mechanical products from component level.

Install PCBs, sensors, connectors and associated electronic assemblies.

Carry out wiring, cable preparation and soldering activities where required.

Assemble precision mechanical parts and housings using appropriate tools and equipment.

Interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions and bills of materials.

Handle delicate, high-value components with care and precision.

Complete production records and manufacturing documentation accurately.

Follow ESD, quality assurance and health & safety procedures.

Support continuous improvement activities within the production environment.

Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area.
