A chatty, friendly man in his early twenties is looking for a support worker to help him with everyday living skills as well as accessing some activities in the local area.

The young person is a Brighton and Hove Albion football fan and tries to get to their home games as often as he can. He also enjoying spending time making his house into a home and is interested in home décor and putting his identity into his new and exciting living space.

Having support, guidance and a helping hand so that he can continue to live successfully and independently in his own home would be really beneficial and a rewarding role for someone.

Could you see yourself assisting and supporting this young person with keeping a home running smoothly, washing clothes, shopping, planning, preparing and cooking meals?

The customer has autism and anxiety so having support from someone who has experience in these areas would be helpful. The role may also involve supporting with visiting coffee shops/café’s, going for walks and occasionally supporting to watch football games.

Duties include:

- Medication prompting/administering

- Other relevant duties as required

- Administration

- Housekeeping

- Shopping

- Cooking

- Transportation

- Companionship

Candidate qualities:

- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

- Reliable with good timekeeping

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Honest and cheerful

- Creative

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

- Must be comfortable with pets

- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
