Summary
We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses (RN) with the passion, drive and commitment to provide ‘caring at its best’ to join our Specialist Medicine teams at University Hospitals of Leicester.
We are currently recruiting for our General Medicine areas and Stroke units within specialist medicine at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital
To apply you must have an active UK NMC PIN and experience of care within a UK Healthcare setting or University placements
If you are a newly registered nurse, you will have access to an exceptional Preceptorship programme, support from your mentor/line manager and fantastic professional development coupled with opportunities to learn a range of new skills.
We are one of the largest and busiest NHS trusts in the country, incorporating the Leicester General, Glenfield and Royal Infirmary hospitals.
Our team is made up of more than 17,000 staff providing a range of services primarily for the one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
We work with partners at the University of Leicester and De Montfort University providing world-class teaching to nurture and develop the next generation of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, many of whom go on to spend their working lives with us.
Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).
We have four primary goals:
• high-quality care for all,
• being a great place to work,
• partnerships for impact, and
• research and education excellence
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
• we are compassionate,
• we are proud,
• we are inclusive, and
• we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
