We are looking for a fun, reliable and confident Support Worker/Personal Assistant to support a young man with learning disabilities in the Stocksfield area.This is a rewarding role helping him build confidence, develop independence and re-engage with activities he enjoys in the community.He is non-verbal and communicates through gestures and a communication book. He enjoys activities such as swimming, cycling, gym sessions, cafés, horse riding, arts and crafts, woodwork and days out.Main Duties

• Supporting community access and social activities
• Encouraging independence and life skills
• Providing positive behaviour support
• Supporting with personal care, toileting and meal preparation
• Promoting safety, confidence and choice

About YouYou will be:

• Reliable and trustworthy
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided.Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Own vehicle suitable for transporting a passenger over 6ft tall
• Business use insurance

Hours

• 3 hours per week during term time (39 weeks)
• 8 hours per week during school holidays (13 weeks)
• Flexible working days and times to be agreed

Additional InformationEnhanced DBS required (paid by employer).Full training provided, including safeguarding, moving and handling, medication awareness and person-specific training.
