A friendly, reliable male Personal Assistant/ Support Worker is required to provide evening support to an adult living in his home.

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting independent living. The position would suit someone calm, practical and dependable who enjoys being active and working in a home environment.

You will be assisting with everyday tasks, DIY jobs, manual work, home projects, gardening, ironing, home support, food preparation, accompanying on outings, and helping with evening routines.

HoursPart-time evening shifts:

• Wednesday: 6:00pm – 11:00pm
• Thursday: 6:00pm-11:00pm
• Friday: 6:00pm – 11:00pm
• Saturday: 6:30pm – 11:30pm

Pay£14.00 per hour

Hours:

20 hours a week

LocationLS17 area

Main DutiesYour role will include a mix of practical support and companionship, such as:

• Supporting independent living during the evening
• Assisting with various household tasks
• Accompanying on local errands
• Supporting with evening outings and activities
• Assisting with parts of an evening routine
• Accompanying the employer on evening walks in his wheelchair alongside his dog

About YouThe ideal person will be:

• Reliable and trustworthy
• Calm, patient and respectful
• Confident working independently
• Comfortable around pets and animals
• Happy to accompany the employer on walks and outings

Essential Requirements

• Male applicant (due to the nature of the role)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• Very good spoken English
• Happy to do DIY and manual work
• Physically fit and well

Previous experience in care or support work is welcome but not essential, as reliability and a positive attitude are most important.
