This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating content, keeping up with trends, engaging with online communities and learning how brands use social media to connect with their audiences.Working closely with the Social Media Manager and Social Media Executive, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day running of our social channels, helping to create engaging content, support campaigns, build online communities and contribute to our wider social media strategy.You’ll learn how to manage brand channels, create platform-specific content, support influencer activity, analyse performance and use social insights to help shape future campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media, enjoys storytelling and wants to develop a career within content marketing and the travel industry.Main Role Responsibilities1. Community EngagementSupport the team in monitoring and responding to conversations across our social media channelsHelp engage with guests and online communities in an authentic and positive wayAssist with responding to customer messages and comments, working alongside our customer contact teamEscalate customer service queries or reputation concerns to the appropriate teamsHelp maintain Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ friendly and consistent tone of voice across all channelsIdentify opportunities to join relevant conversations and support reactive social media activity2. Social Content Publishing & Creator SupportSupport the creation, scheduling and publishing of content across social media platformsAssist with maintaining the social media content calendarSupport content approval processes and publishing workflowsHelp create and edit social content, including photography, video and short-form contentTravel across our fleet may be required to support content creation opportunitiesAssist with influencer and creator activity, including research, outreach and communicationsSupport campaign administration, including creator briefs, competitions, gifting and campaign tracking3. User-Generated Content (UGC)Help source and organise high-quality guest-generated contentMaintain UGC libraries and permission recordsIdentify guest stories and experiences that could be shared across our channelsSupport the team in building a bank of content opportunities from our guests and community4. Social Listening & InsightsMonitor social conversations, trends and competitor activity using social media toolsKeep up to date with emerging platforms, creators and cultural trendsSupport the tracking of social media performance, including engagement, reach and audience growthHelp identify audience interests, sentiment and opportunities for future contentAssist with creating basic social media reports and sharing insights with the wider businessWhat We’re Looking ForA genuine passion for social media and digital contentAn interest in creating engaging content for different audiencesCuriosity about social trends, platforms and online communitiesGood written communication skills and attention to detailA willingness to learn and develop new skillsCreativity and confidence in sharing ideasAn organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasksA positive, team-focused attitudePrevious experience managing personal social media accounts, creating content, photography, video editing, blogging or contributing to online communities would be beneficial although, full training and support will be provided.The OpportunityThis is an Apprenticeship; the successful candidate will work towards the Level 3 Content Creator qualification which has an estimated course duration of 18 months. This will be a work-based Apprenticeship, therefore there will be no requirement for a day release to college. You will have an allocated Assessor from an Apprenticeship training provider who will visit you in the workplace and provide 1-2-1 training, support, and guidance throughout the course. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an award-winning cruise and travel brand. With structured learning and support throughout your apprenticeship, you'll develop practical skills in social media, content creation, community management and digital marketing, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career.Some travel, including opportunities to visit our fleet, will be involved as part of the role.The successful candidate must have a full UK driving license and access to their own transport.BenefitsFred.
