Summary

To provide a high-quality, specialist ADHD post-diagnostic service for children, young people, adults, and their families across RDaSH services. The post holder will play a key role in supporting non-medical prescribers and the wider multidisciplinary team, ensuring the effective delivery of the duty function within the team by providing timely advice, guidance, and support. The role will contribute to improving patient experience, supporting individuals to manage their ADHD effectively following diagnosis, and promoting continuity of care across the pathway

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate ADHD Practitioner to join our Children’s Neurodevelopmental Team, providing specialist post-diagnostic support to children and young people across the ADHD pathway, based in our Doncaster team.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver high quality clinical support, advice and psychoeducation to help individuals understand and manage ADHD following diagnosis.

You will act as a key member of the post-diagnostic service, managing clinical enquiries, triaging concerns, responding to medication-related queries, supporting medication review clinics, and ensuring appropriate risk assessment and escalation where required. The role includes maintaining a caseload, delivering evidence-based interventions, and working collaboratively with families to develop tailored plans of support..

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will build strong partnerships with schools, CAMHS, paediatric services, primary care and other agencies to coordinate care and improve outcomes for children and young people with ADHD. 

In addition, you will contribute to service development through clinical supervision, training, audit, quality improvement activities and the implementation of evidence-based practice.
