Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for aLinen andLaundryAssistantto join our team.This position is well-suited to aflexible, effective communicatorwho is lookingtogain experience in a health care setting.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team. They also will have the ability to work under pressure and respond well to changing service demands at short notice.
This role is subject to a Standard DBS disclosure.
• Deliver cages of clean linen to wards/departments in a timely manner using tug and collecting cages of dirty which help to support clinical colleagues in delivering high quality patient care.
• Driving vehicles around Royal Bolton Hospital and Community sites.
• Check-in linen from outside supplier and place in situ in linen room and stock cupboard.
• Need to be able to adjust linen quantities for requirements on wards or departments which helps support the division in identifying and achieving efficiency savings.
• Dirty linen bags need to be sorted and transferred into appropriate cages which helps actively manage risks which prevent or hinder our services.
• Sweeping and mopping of linen and canteen rooms and general housekeeping which helps to strive to ensure a high level of quality in your work
• Need to be flexible to cover sickness and annual leave during week and weekends.
• Assist and take direction in the event of any fire/major accident or incident.
• Any other general requirements as appropriate to the post.
• Provide provisions of uniform to wards/departments and community sites within Bolton NHS Foundation trust

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Basic Secondary Education
• Ability to take and understand basic instructions
• Flexible approach to meet service needs
