About the Role:

As a Mammographer, you will deliver high quality mammography imaging services to patients, supporting their diagnosis, treatment and recovery across a variety of clinical specialties. You will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide precise, patient-centred care while upholding the highest professional standards. Our client is a reputable provider within the healthcare sector, dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical services and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Performing mammography imaging examinations to a high clinical standard

Positioning patients accurately to obtain optimal quality images

Monitoring patient comfort and response throughout the examination

Maintaining detailed and accurate records of examinations performed

Ensuring correct use and calibration of mammography equipment

Providing support and reassurance to patients before, during and after examinations

Collaborating with radiologists, breast care nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Participating in quality assurance and safety procedures

Assisting in the education and training of junior staff and students

Keeping up to date with advancements in mammography techniques and equipment

Who We Are Looking For:

Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiography with mammography training, or equivalent recognised qualification

Typically 6 months or more of experience working as a Mammographer within a clinical or hospital environment

Skills:

In-depth understanding of breast screening and mammography principles

Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology

Proficiency with mammography imaging systems and equipment

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
