About the Role:
As a Mammographer, you will deliver high quality mammography imaging services to patients, supporting their diagnosis, treatment and recovery across a variety of clinical specialties. You will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide precise, patient-centred care while upholding the highest professional standards. Our client is a reputable provider within the healthcare sector, dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical services and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing mammography imaging examinations to a high clinical standard
- Positioning patients accurately to obtain optimal quality images
- Monitoring patient comfort and response throughout the examination
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of examinations performed
- Ensuring correct use and calibration of mammography equipment
- Providing support and reassurance to patients before, during and after examinations
- Collaborating with radiologists, breast care nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participating in quality assurance and safety procedures
- Assisting in the education and training of junior staff and students
- Keeping up to date with advancements in mammography techniques and equipment
Who We Are Looking For:
- Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiography with mammography training, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Typically 6 months or more of experience working as a Mammographer within a clinical or hospital environment
Skills:
- In-depth understanding of breast screening and mammography principles
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency with mammography imaging systems and equipment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
