Summary
Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN GCSE English & Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to students across Oldham.
This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a qualified tutor or teacher with experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who require personalised learning to help them progress towards their GCSEs.
As a SEN GCSE English & Maths Tutor, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons in English and Mathematics at GCSE level, adapting your teaching approach to meet the learners individual needs and learning style.
The student benefits from a personalised educational programme and requires a patient, engaging and supportive professional who can create a positive learning environment and encourage consistent progress.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through focused 1:1 support while delivering high-quality SEN provision outside of a traditional classroom setting.

Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP25 per hour
Hours: 10 to 15 hours per week
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE
Experience teaching English and/or Mathematics at Key Stage 4
Experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Minimum of 6 months experience working within a UK school, tutoring environment or alternative provision
Strong understanding of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum
Up-to-date Safeguarding Training
BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online Update Service, or be willing to process a new DBS application
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
Complete all safeguarding and compliance checks in line with Prospero Teaching requirements
