This rewarding role will see you providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with Autism who is non-verbal. Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team, you will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence within a mainstream primary school environment.

- Essential experience supporting children or young people with Autism.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to undertake further specialist SEN training.

This role involves regular, direct and unsupervised contact with children and young people and is classed as regulated activity relating to children. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, promote the welfare of all pupils and follow all school safeguarding policies and procedures. Appointment is subject to satisfactory safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check with children's barred list check where applicable, identity verification, qualification checks, employment history checks and suitable references.
