Summary

Teaching and assessing Rate PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS – starting from £26,226.17 pro rata depending on qualification

Non-Qualified Teaching – starting from £24,721.08 pro rata

Term Time plus 2 weeks

City College Peterborough's Study Skills department are looking for a Multi Skills SEN Tutor to join their team. We are excited about our future and are seeking someone to share and develop our vision for young people on a term time only basis (37 hours per week plus 2 weeks).

Due to a growth in teaching, we are seeking a confident and motivated tutor that can help and support the learners to achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment. along with embedding English and Maths. You will work with other lecturers to raise the learning and attainment of young people, while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem and independence.

You will need to be able to use your own initiative while supporting learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy. The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative. You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with young people with SEN. We are ambitious for our learners and suitable applicants will possess the drive and determination to support and aspire learners to achieve.

All the staff are dedicated to education, training, skills and putting learners first. Learners are at the heart of everything we do.

The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the Department, providing tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the position. The successful candidate will be required to:

Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in SEN provision

Multi- skilled ability

Establish effective working relationships with young people

Monitor, support and record learner progress (ProMonitor)

Provide innovative and stimulating training

Work as part of a team to achieve timely results

All positions are working with 14-24 year old Learners
