Summary

Ensure that foods for all patient catering areas are prepared in scope agreed with the Catering Manager and Deputy Catering Manager and food hygiene legislation. Ensure that all foods are correctly displayed and kept at the correct temperature with the date labels clearly displayed. Ensure that high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times in areas as of direct control. Ensure portion control and correct storage methods are followed to avoid wastage. Ensure that the patient catering areas are clean, tidy at all times. Ensure that the restaurant is well stocked with cutlery, serviettes etc at all times. Ensure that no cleaning chemicals are left in reach of the visitors and patients. Ensure that food is prepared and served promptly. To carry out some cooking duties as dictated by shift requirements.
