About the Role

Are you energetic, patient, and passionate about helping people live fulfilling lives? We're looking for Support Workers to support a gentleman in his twenties with learning disabilities and autism in his home in Weymouth.

This is a highly rewarding role where you'll support him to live the life he chooses, encouraging independence, building confidence, and helping him enjoy the activities and experiences that matter most to him.

- Support him to go swimming and dancing - although he doesn't always choose to go, he thoroughly enjoys it when he does

- Encourage and participate in his art projects at home

- Join him on outings with his trike

- Visit West Bay and other local beauty spots for walks and an ice cream

- Explore the local area on longer walks

- Support his interest in photography

- Help him maintain meaningful relationships with his family, who play an active role in his support

Every day is different, offering plenty of opportunities to build a positive relationship and support someone to achieve their goals and enjoy life to the fullest.

What Will You Be Doing?

Alongside supporting him with the activities he enjoys, you'll also provide assistance with everyday tasks, including:

- Managing and monitoring finances

- Meal planning and preparation

- Supporting with personal care where required

- Promoting independence and life skills

- Encouraging choice, confidence, and community involvement

You'll work closely with his family and the wider Dimensions team to ensure consistent, person-centred support that reflects his individual needs, interests, and aspirations.
