JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN SENIOR ADULT SOCIAL CARE WORKER

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Adult Social Care Worker (Advanced Practitioner Adult Social Care) to play a pivotal role in driving organisational transformation and shaping the future of Adult Social Care services. As an Senior Adult Social Care Worker, you will provide expert leadership, professional supervision, and specialist guidance while working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to embed innovative ways of working. RESPONSIBILITIES

o Lead and support the implementation of locality-based and neighbourhood working across Adult Social Care services.

o Coach, mentor and professionally supervise Social Workers, Social Care Practitioners and Developing Practitioners.

o Support teams through organisational transformation by embedding new pathways, processes and best practice.

o Promote strengths-based, person-centred approaches that maximise independence and improve outcomes for residents.

o Work collaboratively with NHS partners, acute hospitals, mental health services, housing providers, police, voluntary organisations and community partners.

o Monitor service performance using management dashboards, analysing caseload activity, statutory timescales, safeguarding performance and key performance indicators.

o Translate performance data into meaningful insights that support high-quality decision-making and continuous service improvement.

o Provide expert advice on Care Act assessments, Carers Assessments, Mental Capacity Act duties, Best Interest decisions, Continuing Healthcare assessments and complex case management.

o Act as a Safeguarding Adults Manager, providing professional oversight of safeguarding concerns, Section 42 enquiries, risk assessments and protection planning.

o Chair safeguarding meetings, ensuring the voice, rights and desired outcomes of adults remain central throughout safeguarding processes.

o Ensure practice complies with relevant legislation, statutory guidance and London Multi-Agency Safeguarding procedures.

o Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion and continuous professional development.

o Contribute to inclusive recruitment activities, including values-based interviewing, diverse interview panels and fair, bias-aware selection processes.

o Support workforce development by promoting anti-discriminatory and anti-racist practice across Adult Social Care.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

We are looking for an experienced Senior Adult Social Care Worker with the expertise and leadership capability to inspire teams and deliver excellent practice.

The successful Advanced Practitioner Adult Social Care will demonstrate:

o Significant post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care.

o Professional qualification in Social Work with current Social Work England registration (or equivalent professional registration where appropriate).

o Extensive knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, Adult Safeguarding legislation and associated statutory guidance.

o Proven experience supervising, mentoring and developing practitioners within Adult Social Care.

o Strong leadership skills with experience supporting organisational change and service transformation.

o Excellent understanding of strengths-based, person-centred and neighbourhood approaches to practice.

o Experience working effectively within complex multi-agency partnerships.

o Ability to interpret performance information and use data to improve service delivery and outcomes.

o Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

o Sound decision-making and risk management abilities when managing complex safeguarding matters.

o Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice.

o Ability to build resilient, high-performing teams while supporting staff wellbeing through periods of change.
