As Head Chef, you'll have the opportunity to shape seasonal menus, manage the kitchen budget, inspire your team, and ensure every dining experience reflects the exceptional standards of the home.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up.
- Experience within a nursing home or care home.
- Strong knowledge of allergens, food safety, specialist diets, and nutrition.
- Understanding of hydration and nutritional needs for older adults.
- Experience with menu planning and kitchen budgeting.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a kitchen team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, beautifully presented meals.

Your Role
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality and service.
- Design and develop seasonal menus that provide choice, variety, and balanced nutrition.
- Prepare and oversee restaurant-quality meals that cater for allergies, specialist diets, and texture-modified meals.
- Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen budgets effectively.
- Lead, train, and support the kitchen team, promoting high standards and continuous development.
- Work closely with the wider care team to support residents' nutritional and hydration needs.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene regulations, health and safety, and kitchen procedures.
- Create a warm and enjoyable dining experience that contributes to residents' overall wellbeing.
