Summary
We are looking for an ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join a distinctive luxury boutique hotel and restaurant operation in Beaconsfield. This busy venue offers high-quality dining across its restaurants and bars, creating beautifully presented dishes using fresh, quality ingredients.
The role
You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the smooth running of the kitchen, helping to lead the brigade through preparation and busy services.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Leading and motivating the team during preparation and service
-Maintaining excellent standards of food quality and presentation
-Taking responsibility for your section
-Training and supporting junior chefs
-Assisting with ordering, stock rotation and portion control
-Controlling food costs and reducing waste
-Maintaining food hygiene, HACCP and allergen standards
-Contributing ideas for seasonal menus and specials
-Stepping up to lead the kitchen when required
