About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maths Lecturer to join a Further Education college in London.

You will deliver high-quality teaching across Maths courses, supporting students to develop essential numeracy skills and achieve their academic goals. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners and make a meaningful impact on their progression.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging Maths lessons across a range of levels (e.g. Functional Skills, GCSE)

Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements

Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support

Support students with varying abilities to improve confidence and attainment in Maths

Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement

Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives

Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance student outcomes

Ensure teaching meets safeguarding, equality, and quality standards

About You

Experience teaching Maths in an FE College or similar setting

Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential

Desirable:

Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)

Experience delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths

Experience supporting learners with additional needs
