Summary

Neway are seeking a Social Work Assistant to join our client based with Cardiff Children’s Services.

Cardiff Children’s Services are recruiting a number of Social Work Assistants to support children, young people, and families across a range of frontline teams. We are seeking motivated, child‑focused Social Work Assistants to work within any of the following teams:

Locality Teams

Children’s Services Specialist Teams

Assessment & Intervention

Long‑Term Support Teams

You will work closely with Social Workers, the Principal Social Worker (PSW) and Team Manager to assist with the delivery of high‑quality services.

Key Responsibilities

Hold and manage a small caseload, appropriate to the needs of the team.

Support Social Workers with assessments, direct work, and care planning.

Build positive relationships with children, young people, and families.

Assist with multi‑agency work, safeguarding tasks, and service coordination.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to case reviews.
