Summary

A Personal Assistant is needed for a 13yr old young man in the HU7 area of Hull. He is a friendly, caring, and happy young person who enjoys spending time with people, likes routine, and benefits from encouragement and patience. He enjoys going out, taking part in activities, and learning new things when he feels comfortable and supported. He likes to go swimming, he loves 4DX (Four-Dimensional eXperience) at the cinema, kicking a ball about, trips to the seaside and has a love of food; he loves trips to Bridlington because he loves the Walzer's.

He and his family would like him to be able to have time away from home without his parents so he can become more confident and more independent, but in a fun and safe and supportive way.

He needs a PA who will invest quality time with him to enable him to develop independence, social skills, and life skills while giving him opportunities to enjoy activities outside the home.

He may need the PA to occasionally assist with communication and he may require a little help dressing after swimming baths. He can manage his personal care, but may need help, if so, he will ask.

A car driver would be preferred either with their own car or possibly driving the family car.

Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.

Rate of pay: £12.71

Hours: 4hrs per week term time (39 weeks), 8hrs per week school holidays (13 weeks)
