Summary

Vehicle Technician

Location: Maidstone

Salary: £37,000 Basic + bonus | OTE £43,000+

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm | 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am – 12:30pm

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established dealer group offering manufacturer training, Hybrid & Electric accreditation and genuine career progression. Working within a modern workshop, you'll carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs while benefiting from a productivity bonus and time saved bonus scheme.

Vehicle Technician Role

- Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards.

- Perform vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.

- Complete authorised repair work efficiently and to a high standard.

- Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

- Road test vehicles to ensure repairs have been completed successfully.

- Complete all workshop documentation accurately.

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Vehicle Technician Requirements

- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).

- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.

- Experience within a main dealership or independent garage.

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

- Experience with the brand is advantageous but not essential, as full manufacturer training will be provided.

- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.

- Full UK Driving Licence.
