Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week worked over 4 days (including weekends, no evenings)
Rate of Pay: £14.50 - 15.50 per hour
Location: Arlington Grove, Oaklands Drive, Almondsbury, Bristol, BS32 4AB
Job Role:
· To prepare and deliver high-quality meals within the Home, liaising with the home manager and registered nurses ensuring that any special dietary requirements are catered for.
· Maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
· Manage, train and lead by example to inspire the rest of the kitchen staff.
· A confident leader capable of managing a busy kitchen but also a team player working with the well-being coordinators organising any special events.
Job Description:
· Ordering and monitoring supplies to ensure availability and minimise wastage.
· Allocating and coordinating the work of Kitchen Assistants.
· Liaising with other departments within the home, to ensure efficient and effective services.
· Prepare all meals to an excellent standard and quality.
· A complete understanding of Health and safety as well as Food Hygiene issues, COSHH.
· Working within the guidelines relating to cross-infection.
· Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in accordance with Cedar Care policies and procedures.
· Have an open, honest, supportive approach.
· Have Excellent culinary skills with a good understanding of special dietary requirements including intolerances, allergies and be familiar with the IDDSI Framework.
Job Requirements:
· NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality (Desired but not essential)
· Experience of working within a Care setting
· Experience of managing a Kitchen
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
