Join Sodexo as a Cleaner and help create safe, clean and welcoming environments in Portsmouth. This is a Monday to Friday role where you’ll deliver high standards of cleanliness across our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for colleagues, customers and visitors.
Workingas part of our team, you’ll carry out a variety of cleaning duties whilefollowing health and safety procedures and Sodexo standards. If you take pridein your work and enjoy making a difference every day, we’d love to hear fromyou.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out a range of cleaning duties to a high standard, following cleaning schedules, task cards and supervisor instructions.
- Comply with all health, safety and hygiene procedures, including COSHH, infection prevention, colour coding and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete all required training and follow company and client policies, maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and appearance at all times.
- Report any faults, defects or issues with cleaning equipment or the working environment promptly to the Cleaning Supervisor or Manager.
- Support the wider cleaning team by undertaking additional reasonable duties as requested to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
What you bring:
- Proven experience of delivering high-quality cleaning services with excellent attention to detail.
- A positive, reliable and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- BICS qualification or willingness to work in line with BICS cleaning standards is desirable.
- Previous cleaning experience within a hotel, healthcare, student accommodation or other commercial environment is desirable.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays, to attend training or support business requirements.
