Summary

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Band 4 Administrator to support our busy Children and Young People Service in Haringey. You will play a key role in managing referrals, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate clinical records, and acting as a first point of contact for children, young people, families, and partner agencies. This role is essential in ensuring smooth service delivery and enabling clinicians to focus on providing high‑quality care. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment are essential.

Your duties will encompass regular liaison regarding the keeping of the appointments, diary typing of letters and reports, taking and transcribing minutes at meetings as necessary, telephone liaison as necessary with external agencies and making appointments at the request of the service. You will assist in the maintenance of records, filing, faxing and photocopying and any duties essential to the comprehensive secretarial support service you will provide, and comply with other management requests.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

To receive telephone calls and emails from outside agencies, deal with them or refer on as appropriate.

To plan and coordinate your workload to ensure all deadlines are metand objectives achieved.

To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the service /department.

 Deal with issues that arise appropriately, including enquiries or complaints from membersof the public and patient
