Warehouse Operative

We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operative positions in Burton-Upon-Trent (DE14 2UZ). At Waterstones Bookseller, you will become part of a supportive and welcoming team, working under the guidance of inspiring leaders across various departments. Our dedicated on-site team is here to assist you in your role, ensuring you have the resources and support needed to excel in your position.

Role of a Warehouse Operative:

Accurately pick and pack books and toys using RDT technology

Carry out a variety of warehouse duties including sorting, picking, and packing

Handle tasks involving lifting, moving items, walking, and standing for most of the shift

Prepare goods for dispatch, including labelling, wrapping, and ensuring secure packaging

Operate pump trucks safely and efficiently

Follow standard operating procedures in line with company policies

Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety, reporting any concerns immediately

Support stock management activities, including inventory counts and investigations when required

Work closely with the Team Leader to complete daily operational tasks

Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the business

As a Warehouse Operative you will need to have:

Flexibility regarding shifts and availability for overtimes

Physically fit and capable of maintaining physical activity

Ability to work as part of a team

Self-motivated

Ability to work in a busy environment

Ability to give attention to detail

Overtime :

£19.72

Location: Burton On Trent, DE14 2UZ

Various shifts available -

AM and PM shifts available, working any

5 days out of 7

, including

Sundays

. Candidates must be flexible to work between

06:00-14:00

and

14:00-22:00

. Shifts are confirmed daily via the
