About the Role
Our client, a leading UK infrastructure organisation, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Technology Engineer to join their South East team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and management of technology assets across a major infrastructure network. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying asset needs, developing early-stage solutions, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies.
Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will help shape future investment programmes while delivering innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop early-stage solutions for asset improvements and renewals, considering buildability, innovation, materials, risk, and cost.
Identify and manage survey and investigation requirements to support asset improvements and renewals.
Support the development of regional asset investment programmes and future schemes.
Provide technical support to Project Managers, including contractor compliance reviews, materials approvals, site inspections, and health and safety documentation.
Review third-party designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards and maintenance requirements.
Undertake feasibility studies, investigations, and technology research to develop innovative engineering solutions.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or be working towards accreditation with a relevant professional institution.
Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience within Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and/or Traffic Signals.
Strong understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.
Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and their application.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
