Summary

Are you passionate about improving mobility and independence for individuals who use wheelchairs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate therapist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a part-time role, 3 days a week that can be offered either as apermanent positionor an internal to the NCAsecondment opportunity, depending on your current employment status and career goals.

As a Wheelchair Therapist, you will play a key role in assessing, prescribing, and supporting the use of specialist wheelchairs, working closely with individuals (children and adults) with complex mobility needs, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Wheelchair Service experience is not essential, as the team will support your learning in this post.

• You will work as a member of Salford Wheelchair Service under the direct and indirect supervision of the  Band 7Clinical Lead.

• You will involve direct patient care in relation to provision of highly specialist intervention using evidence based, client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate.

• You will be required to be highly motivated and able to motivate others, and be expected to work flexibly and respond to service requirements and be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
