Summary
Stone Fired is an artisan Neapolitan pizza and pasta business based in Prestonpans, East Lothian. We operate as a quality-driven takeaway, serving freshly prepared stone fired pizzas and pasta dishes to our local community. We are seeking an experienced Pizza/Pasta Chef with a genuine passion for producing high-quality Neapolitan-style pizzas and flavour-led pasta dishes. This role places particular emphasis on delivering consistently excellent, flavour-packed pasta dishes alongside expertly crafted stone-fired pizzas in a fast-paced takeaway environment.
The Role
You will:
Prepare and cook high-quality pasta dishes with well-balanced, flavourful sauces
Ensure consistency in pasta preparation, cooking times, and presentation
Prepare and cook Neapolitan-style pizzas to a high and consistent standard
Manage dough handling, fermentation, and stone fired cooking processes
Ensure all takeaway orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and timed correctly
Maintain excellent standards of food quality, hygiene, and organisation
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and FoH team
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has strong experience preparing and cooking pasta dishes in a busy kitchen
Understands sauce development, flavour balance, and consistency
Has experience with Neapolitan pizza, including dough management and oven work
Thrives in a fast-paced takeaway setting
Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team
Is reliable, hardworking, and takes genuine pride in their craft
