Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Mount St Joseph is currently seeking a Cover Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning by delivering pre-prepared lesson materials. You will help maintain a calm, positive learning environment and support students in achieving their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during the absence of teaching staff.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused on their learning.

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.

• Provide support and guidance to students during lessons where appropriate.

• Record attendance and report any issues or concerns to relevant staff.

• Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.

• Assist with other school duties as required.
