Deputy Room Leader

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Deputy Room Leader to join a nurturing and well-established nursery where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and develop confidence through play.

 

With dedicated rooms tailored to each stage of development, the nursery provides a stimulating environment where children can thrive. From babies taking their first developmental steps to pre-school children preparing for school, every learning space has been carefully designed to support children's individual needs and interests.

 

Working closely with the Room Leader, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality care and education, supporting colleagues, and helping to create positive learning experiences that enable children to reach their full potential.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Experience working as a Nursery Practitioner, Senior Practitioner, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A nurturing and child-centred approach
  • Confidence supporting colleagues and leading by example

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room
  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
  • Help plan and implement engaging learning activities
  • Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Support and mentor team members within the room
  • Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards
