Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Plymouth. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with children and young people who require additional support to access education, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

Working as part of a committed and experienced team, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

- Deliver individualised support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and within small groups

- Assist students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning needs

- Support pupils in accessing learning activities and following personalised education plans

- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction

- Promote independence, self-confidence, and engagement throughout the school day

- Work alongside teachers and therapists to ensure students receive consistent support

- Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual learning requirements

- Support pupils during classroom lessons, break times, educational visits, and enrichment activities

- Record observations and contribute to progress reviews when required

Your contribution will help students overcome barriers to learning and reach meaningful personal and educational milestones.

We would love to hear from individuals who:

- Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEND

- Are patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships

- Have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

- Are confident working within a team and following individual support plans

- Can remain calm and resilient in challenging situations

- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle

- Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
