Year 4 Teaching Assistant - Huyton

September 2026 | Full Academic Year

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Huyton for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class from September 2026 for the full academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic TA who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development within Key Stage 2.

The Role:

Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 4 classroom

Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions

Supporting pupils with literacy and phonics development

Working with the school's chosen phonics programme, including Read Write Inc.

Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and pupil progress

Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Experience supporting phonics interventions, ideally Read Write Inc.

A proactive and nurturing approach to supporting children

A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

The school is looking for someone with strong TA experience who can hit the ground running and become a valued member of the team for the full academic year.
