Summary

The faculty of Health, Social Care and Wellbeing at Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Instructor in Science, specifically Chemistry. We also welcome applications from candidates with a strong Physics and/or Biology background.

As part of the curriculum team, your role will be to support with programme delivery and to maintain our laboratory facilities. We are looking for a motivated professional who can help ensure students gain the confidence and competence they need to succeed in their studies and careers. You will be responsible for organising, maintaining and further developing laboratory areas, supporting Health and Safety procedures and carrying out other relevant duties as required. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work independently, and committed to contributing to a positive team culture, while keeping our learning environments safe, organised and fully equipped. You will also be required to provide support across the faculty, as required – this could include laboratory work, practical activity and learning and teaching.

This role would suit someone who has experience working in an educational setting or has a Science related degree with relevant experience.
