If so, then please apply to become part of our Multidisciplinary Ultrasound Team within the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB).

Part time and full time applications are invited from Sonographers who are caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated. We would welcome candidates with a wide range of ultrasound competencies; however we would also consider applications from Sonographers with experience in only one clinical area as well as trainee Sonographers with a pending PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.

We are looking for Sonographers who would be interested in bringing their ambition, commitment, knowledge, experience and skills to the Trust. 

You must have a CASE accredited PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent (DMU).

A current or pending professional registration is essential(e.g. HCPC, NMC, RCT). If your registration is pending at the point of application then please select yes when asked if you hold a registration.

Applicants with apendingCASE accredited PG Cert/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound are also welcome to apply for this post.

You will have evidence of on-going CPD and learning related to your areas of ultrasound practice.

We have a wide range of ultrasound equipment within the Trust. CRIS and PACS are used throughout the Trust. ViewPoint Maternity and BadgerNet are used within maternity obstetric scan. 

Our vacant positions are based at Queens Hospital Burton and Royal Derby Hospital sites, with rotation through our UHDB community sites and CDCs including Ilkeston, Ashbourne, Long Eaton, Ripley, Tamworth, Lichfield. Depending on your competency, experience and skill mix there will be an expectation to rotate through our general, obstetric, early pregnancy, urology rooms and all of our community hospital departments.

This post also requires participation in the Ultrasound extended day and weekend working.
