Job description
We are looking for additional capacity in the team within a busy service over the Summer / early Autumn months. Start Date - ASAP and immediate availability ideally preferred and clearance completed all ready to go.
The role is to act as a day to day placement duty manager for BCT Placement Service. Previous placements and children home finding extemely beneficial. We work closely with Social Work colleagues and receive referrals to find homes within fostering, Supported Accommodation and residential for children. The role would involve gatekeeping and initial quality assurance of referrals, consideration of workloads of the staff group and allocation of the work. The postholder would act as a single point of contact for the large staff team whilst on duty to seek support most often in case discussions with Social work colleagues. For the short period of time we need this additional support, they would NOT be holding any line management responsibility.
The ideal candidate would be au-fait in working in a fast paced environment, be able to multi-task, prioritise and demonstrate resilience under high pressure discussions and situations. They would offer support and problem solving to staff on the spot in live situations. There would be some input and guidance on the systems we currently and it is expected as this is a standalone role, the successful candidate can get upto speed quickly.
