13 hours per week, term time plus inset days
Grade 5 points 11 – 17 £28,142 to £31,022 per annum, pro rata
Actual Salary £8,495 - £9,364 per annum
Temporary fixed term contract until August 2027 - Start date: ASAP
Frome College is seeking a Parent and Family Support Adviser (PFSA) to join their team, focusing on enhancing learning opportunities for families and students through guidance and support. The ideal candidate will assist in addressing challenges, identify potential areas of concern, and promote student engagement within the school community.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• experience of working with young people and/or families with additional needs
• excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• ability to work confidentially in a fast-moving environment, often with conflicting priorities
• ability to think and deliver services in a creative and non-stigmatising way
• ability to understand and interpret legislation to meet service requirements
• ability to undertake the role of lead professional where appropriate
• good literacy, numeracy, interpersonal, organisational and administration/IT skills
