Summary

Your new school

Hays Education partners closely with a wide range of primary and secondary schools across Birmingham, Sandwell, and the surrounding areas. Our partner schools vary in size, ethos and community, giving you the freedom to choose environments that suit your teaching style and career goals. Whether you're exploring day‑to‑day supply, looking for the stability of a longer‑term role, or considering a permanent move, we're already supporting schools preparing for September 2026 and beyond. With strong, long‑standing relationships across the region, schools trust us to provide reliable, committed teachers who bring consistency, professionalism and high‑quality teaching to their classrooms.

Your new role

We are looking for teachers who are considering a change from September 2026 and would like flexible, rewarding work across local schools. Opportunities range from daily supply to ongoing placements and permanent positions, with both part‑time and full‑time options available. You may be delivering pre‑planned lessons, supporting mixed‑ability groups, or taking responsibility for a class over a longer period. Each placement offers the chance to join supportive staff teams who value clear communication, adaptability and a calm, positive presence in the classroom. Whether you enjoy the variety of working in different schools or prefer settling into one consistent setting, we'll help you find the right balance for the year ahead.

  • Recent teaching experience within a school setting
  • Confident behaviour management and a warm, approachable teaching style
  • Flexibility to adapt to different routines, expectations and school cultures
  • Strong organisational skills and a steady, practical approach
  • A commitment to creating a safe, positive learning environment for pupils

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive pay that reflects your experience and the type of work you choose
  • Full control over your working pattern, preferred locations and role type
  • Access to a wide range of CPD through the Hays Learning Platform
  • Easy digital tools for timesheets, holidays and wellbeing via the Hays App
  • £250 in vouchers when you refer a teacher who completes 20 days with Hays
  • Ongoing support from your dedicated Hays consultant, including CV guidance and career planning
