I am looking for a personal assistant to support me with living independently in my home and to get out and about.

I am recovering from a stroke and as a result, need help with using my IT equipment, batch cooking, housework, help with laundry and going to appointments.

There is some personal care involved as I need some support with showering.

This is a rewarding role for the right person.

Duties include:

- Other relevant duties as required

- Administration

- Housekeeping

- Shopping

- Cooking

- Transportation

- Companionship

- Bathroom assistance

- Help with personal administration tasks, e.g. paying bills, dealing with benefits and making phone calls.

Candidate qualities:

- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

- Reliable with good timekeeping

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Honest and cheerful

- Creative

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
