As a Paramedic Functional Assessor hybrid to Weston Super Mare, you will use your clinical knowledge in a new way—carrying out structured assessments that help understand how a person’s health condition or disability impacts their daily life. The Role

Working in a hybrid model from the Weston Super Mare Assessment Centre and home, you will conduct assessments via face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations. You will gather information, review medical evidence, and produce detailed, objective reports to support decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting structured functional assessments for individuals applying for PIP

Exploring how physical, mental health, or cognitive conditions affect daily living

Reviewing medical evidence and supporting documentation

Producing clear, accurate, and evidence-based clinical reports

Applying professional judgement while working within clinical and quality guidelines

This role does not involve diagnosing, treating, or making benefit decisions. Your focus is on delivering fair, impartial, and high-quality assessments.
