WF Tech is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller Setter / Programmer on behalf of a well-established, family-run precision engineering company based in Melton Mowbray. The company specialises in the manufacture of high-quality precision components and operates a modern machining facility, including Doosan, HAAS and DMG CNC milling machines.
The Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines, producing high-precision components from a range of materials.
The role will involve:
⦠Setting and operating Doosan, HAAS and DMG CNC milling machines
⦠Programming and editing CNC programmes at the machine
⦠Working from engineering drawings and 3D models
⦠Using FeatureCAM CAD/CAM software to support programming and machining processes
⦠Selecting tooling, setting work offsets and proving out new jobs
⦠Producing low-volume, high-quality precision components
⦠Carrying out in-process inspection and maintaining tight tolerances
⦠Supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment
The Candidate
The ideal CNC Miller will have:
⦠Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
⦠Experience with Doosan, HAAS or DMG machining centres would be highly advantageous
⦠Knowledge of Fanuc or similar CNC controls
⦠Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
⦠Experience working within a precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing environment
⦠Understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and machining strategies
⦠Experience using CAD/CAM systems – FeatureCAM experience would be a major advantage
Candidates who can confidently set machines and make programme adjustments will be particularly suited to this opportunity.
Working Hours & Overtime
The standard working week is:
Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 4:30pm
There are also excellent overtime opportunities available:
⦠Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am
⦠Saturday: 6:00am – 11:00am
