Summary

Job Title: Site Supervisor

Area: Waltham Forest, East London

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent contract

Salary: £120-150 Per day

Working hours: 08:00 - 16:00

As Site Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school remains a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. We are looking for a proactive and reliable individual who takes pride in their work, uses initiative, and can confidently manage the day-to-day operation of a busy secondary school site.

You will be responsible for site security, health and safety compliance, routine maintenance, contractor management, and the general upkeep of the school's buildings and grounds. A hands-on role that requires strong practical skills, excellent organisation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across the school.

Key Responsibilities

- Opening and securing the school site.

- Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks.

- Monitoring the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities.

- Managing contractors and overseeing site works.

- Conducting health and safety checks and maintaining compliance records.

- Setting up facilities for exams, events, and school activities.

- Responding to site-related issues and emergencies as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

- Previous experience in a Site Supervisor, Caretaker, or Facilities role.

- Strong maintenance and practical skills.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance.

- The ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.

- A flexible, professional, and positive approach to work.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the school community.
