Estimator
Location: Bedford
Salary: £28,000–£40,000 DOE
Hours: 8:30–17:00

The Company
A long‑established manufacturer and subcontractor delivering high‑security solutions for the UK construction sector. They design and install specialist products including ballistic and blast‑resistant doors, walls, windows and louvres for government, healthcare and critical‑infrastructure projects.
With continued growth in the estimating department, they are now recruiting an Estimator to support tendering activity across a diverse and technically interesting workload.
The Role: Estimator
You will support the estimating team with tender reviews, pricing and cost analysis across a wide range of security‑focused projects. This role suits someone with early estimating experience who wants to progress within a specialist manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing schedules
Review tender documents, drawings and specifications
Calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
Maintain organised records of estimates and submissions
Work collaboratively with Sales, Project Management and Production teams
